“Stef is not only an incredible writer, but asks all the right questions to truly understand the organization and programs they're working with. They are impressively organized and quickly created successful systems and processes for our organization's grants portfolio.”

“Working with Stef has been an absolute joy! Stef managed our grants portfolio through a number of challenging staff transitions, including the departure of leaders in both the Development and Finance departments. Even through these difficult changes, we could rely on Stef’s ability to independently track important deadlines and produce strong work that kept institutional funding flowing into our organization.”
Katrice Kemble, former Associate Director of Development, International Festival of Arts & Ideas

“It is so rare to find a grant-writing consultant who not only grasps the heart and soul of your organization but can eloquently translate those intangibles into the required word count for a funding application. Stef is that unicorn. They feel like part of our team, and it's palpable how much they care about our organization and how much thought they put into every application and report they write for us.”

Get to know your grant writer, Stef
Growing up in Brooklyn, the cultural landscape of New York City was an integral part of my adolescence–family outings to Broadway shows and class trips to museums, later using my Student MetroCard to get to galleries in Chelsea and dance performances at BAM. My childhood passion for the arts turned into a career spanning a decade of indie and Broadway theater, as a stage manager, production manager, and producer’s assistant.
Seeing firsthand the financial challenges of creating new work, I realized that fundraising was a tangible way to contribute to the cultural vibrancy of the city. I have spent the past 11 years working with curators, artists, producers, and non-profit arts leaders to bring their visions to life through grant writing. I have successfully fundraised for artists and mission-driven organizations spanning public art, performing and multidisciplinary arts, visual arts, film, arts education, sustainability and horticulture programs, capital projects, community programming, archives, LGBTQIA+ youth programs, humanities, and accessibility programs.
